Physical Properties

Insulation: Polyisocyanurate (Trymer Foam Insulation)
Jacket: Special purpose rigid PVC extrusion compound
Complies with the ASTM E 84-05 Standard Test Method for surface burning characteristics of materials.

KB Enterprises recommends Rigid Polyisocyanurate insulation. They are a user-friendly product. They are cleaner and have several advantages over Calcium Silicate. In most cases the Trymer Urethane has adequate compressive strength to meet the requirements of weight bearing loads at the hanger point. The following outlines the characteristics of the Trymer Foam Insulation:

Trymer 2000 – Urethane has the following characteristics:

  • Compressive Strength = 24 psi average
  • Flexural Strength = 44 psi average
  • K Factor = .190 @ 75-degree F – aged 180 days
  • Working Temperature Range = -297-degree F to +300-degree F
  • Trymer 2000 insulation is used for 1/2-inch wall thickness insulation inserts.

Trymer 4000 – Urethane has the following characteristics:

  • Compressive Strength = 80 psi average
  • Flexural Strength = 44 psi average
  • K Factor = .190 @ 75-degree F – aged 180 days
  • Working Temperature Range = -297-degree F to +300-degree F

Trymer is used for 1/2 and 4 wall size.
