KB Enterprise Corp. and Snappitz were founded in 2010 in Seattle WA out of the need to provide a waterproof insulted pipe support. This need was thought of the persistent rainy conditions in the Pacific Northwest. We discovered that the mechanical contractors were covering up each hanger/ calcium silicate/ metal supports on the piping system with plastic to keep the rain from destroying the calcium silicate/ metal pipe supports.
With our company’s extensive background as a mechanical insulation contractor, we set out to create a thermal insulated pipe support that could be installed in seconds rather than minutes, also a product that would be waterproof and a complete vapor barrier for chilled water hydronic pipe system
History
Snappitz Thermal Insulated Pipe Supports were created from the need for waterproof more durable insulated pipe support. KB Enterprise and Snappitz Thermal insulated pipe supports are created from our experience in the mechanical insulation contracting industry. Calcium Silicate/ metal insulated pipe supports didn’t fit the outside of the fiberglass piping insulation and the metal jacket didn’t adhere to the “butt’ laps accessory for pipe insulation as well as being extremely fragile.
Snappitz was born out of an idea of creating a better “mousetrap” for the manufacturing of thermal insulated pipe supports. With a revolutionary patented jacketing system… A “ball bearing” hinge assembly created movable opening and closing, rather than an antiquated “two pieces of metal sliding together” The “Snappitz locking closure is what brings the name and the ability to lock this pipe support into place.
Snappitz revolutionary products of thermal insulated pipes supports are constructed of the exact dimensions of the outside diameter of the fiberglass pipe covering. Saving time and money for both sides of the mechanical contracting industry. (mechanical contractor and mechanical insulation contractor) Unlike the calcium silicate/metal pipe supports Snappitz are aesthetically higher value, as the polystyrene patented jacket system adheres to mechanical insulation with precision.
